UV DTF — Hard-Surface Full-Color Transfers

UV-cured transfers bond permanently to hard, non-porous surfaces: drinkware, glass, metal, hard hats, phone cases, and rigid promo items.

Overview

What Is UV DTF Transfers?

UV DTF is a specialty transfer process for hard, non-porous surfaces. Full-color art is printed with UV-curable inks onto a specialty carrier film, cured under UV light, and then applied to the surface. The result is a permanent, waterproof, scratch-resistant graphic that looks screen-printed but works on materials that can't be printed directly.

Behind the Scenes

How It Works

1

Your artwork is prepared for UV DTF's CMYK + white + gloss printing.

2

The design is printed onto UV DTF carrier film with UV inks.

3

The film is UV-cured to lock the inks in place.

4

The transfer is peeled and applied to the substrate — glass, metal, drinkware, plastic, or hard hats.

5

The finished graphic is permanent, waterproof, and dishwasher-safe on most items.

Frequently Asked

Frequently Asked Questions

Is UV DTF dishwasher-safe?

Yes on most drinkware — top-rack dishwasher is safe.

Can I apply it myself?

We apply UV DTF at our facility so the alignment is perfect and the finished item ships ready to use.

Does UV DTF work on curved surfaces?

Yes — the film is flexible enough to conform to tumblers, wine glasses, and gently curved surfaces.

What's the difference between UV DTF and standard DTF?

Standard DTF is for fabric (heat-pressed). UV DTF is for hard surfaces (UV-cured, adhesive-backed).
