3D Printing — Custom Parts, Prototypes & Products

On-demand 3D-printed products, one-off parts, and prototypes in a range of materials — for when off-the-shelf blanks don't cut it.

Overview

What Is 3D Printing?

3D printing is an additive-manufacturing process that builds objects layer by layer from a digital model. Iconic Techniques offers 3D printing services for custom promotional items, replacement parts, prototypes, and one-off product designs.

Behind the Scenes

How It Works

1

Send us your 3D model (STL/OBJ) or design brief.

2

We validate the file for printability and select the best material.

3

The object is printed layer by layer on production-grade equipment.

4

Post-processing (sanding, painting, or coating) finishes the piece.

5

You receive the finished object ready to use or gift.

The Real Talk

Advantages & Limitations

Advantages

  • Perfect for one-off items where a blank product doesn't exist.
  • Custom brackets, prototypes, and jigs — solve real business problems.
  • Wide material selection: PLA, PETG, ABS, TPU, and specialty resins.
  • No minimums — order 1 or 100.

Limitations

  • Layer lines visible on FDM prints unless post-processed.
  • Not designed for high-volume manufacturing — better for short runs and one-offs.
  • Requires a printable 3D model — we can help refine files but cannot design from scratch without a brief.

Frequently Asked

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a 3D file?

Ideally, yes — STL or OBJ. If you have a sketch or reference, we can help you get to a printable file (design fee applies).

What materials can you print in?

PLA, PETG, ABS, TPU (flexible), and a handful of specialty resins. Ask us if you have a specific material in mind.

How large can a print be?

Roughly 12″ × 12″ × 12″ per single-piece FDM print. Larger objects can be printed in multiple pieces and assembled.

What's the lead time?

Simple objects can print in 1–3 days. Complex objects with post-processing 5–10 days.
